February Roundup

February total ~ 8

Read but didn't review:

Name All the Animals 4/5 ~ Memoir of a 15-year-old girl whose 18-year-old brother is killed in a car accident. She goes to a Catholic school, is found making out with a female student, teased and tormented by friends and parents, questions her sexuality, tries to figure out her new place in the family as an only child, questions God but remains in her faith. Her parents are odd in many ways; they tell Alison there aren't enough cemetery plots for her to join the family when she dies so would she mind if she is cremated and buried on top of her brother. Strange parents. Good book. The writing was beautiful and flowed easily, which made it a joy to read.
Blogging for Bliss 5/5 ~ I've read a lot of blogging books; this one is the best.
How to Read Literature Like a Professor 4/5
Inside of a Dog 4/5
Finding Your Voice: How to Put Personality in Your Writing 5/5
The Bookaholics' Guide to Book Blogs 2/5

Read and Reviewed:

Making Rounds with Oscar 5/5
A Million Miles in a Thousand Years 4/5

I can't believe I only read 8 books in February. The Olympics got me sidetracked. Hopefully next month will be better. I see blogs where people read 10 books in one week! How do they do that?

I'm laughing out loud here - first at the photo up top - so cute! Second at the parents in the first book - weird indeed!!! I'll have to look for Name All The Animals. I'm also curious about Blogging For Bliss.
Have a great month!

Mary: I know, isn't that so bizarre that her parents asked her that? I didn't mean to be funny when I wrote that, but now that I look at it, it makes me laugh too :)

That memoir sounds good even though her parents are messed up!!!! I loved the Olympics and am very sad that we don't have them to watch any longer!!
