Review: The Tao of Mia and Leo

The Tao of Mia and Leo

by Jeffra Nicholson

My Synopsis

Inspirational book about the author's two cats, Mia and Leo, and how they helped her through life's ups, downs and all-arounds.

My Thoughts

Cute book of short inspirational stories. In each short chapter the author focuses on an issue, i.e. asking for what you want, the art of dining, admitting your mistakes, self-acceptance, learning to enjoy your own company, etc., and tells how she learned from her cats how to handle those areas of her life.

At first I was skeptical about what a cat could teach someone about life, but Nicholson did a great job writing the book, relating the closely observed actions of her cats in thoughtful detail and providing inspiration to the reader. I enjoyed reading about her many work-related moves and how her faithful friends were there to help her get through all the stressors involved.

The only disappointment I had was the lack of pictures of her beloved kitties! There weren't any except for the cover picture. I felt a little cheated because of that :) Otherwise, the book was a joy to read.

Do I Recommend?

Yes.
