It's Monday! What Are You Reading? Feb 15

This meme is now hosted by Sheila over at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books. I love to see what everyone is reading, so join in the fun.

Last week I read:

Finding Your Voice: How to Put Personality In Your Writing by Les Edgerton - I won't be reviewing this book, but it was awesome, especially if you're a writer, which I'm not, but I just wanted to get some tips for writing for my blogs. Very helpful and insightful.

Making Rounds with Oscar: An Extraordinary Life with an Ordinary Cat by Dr. David Dosa - Loved this book.

I did reviews on:

The Happiness Project
A Reliable Wife
Making Rounds with Oscar: An Extraordinary Life with an Ordinary Cat

Plan to read this week:

A Friend of the Family by Lauren Grodstein (Still reading this from last week)

Sunflowers by Sheramy Bundrick I thought this was ready at the library last week, but it wasn't. Maybe this week.

I've really enjoyed all my reads lately. I've rated quite a few as 4- and 5-stars, but that's just how things have been going lately. I'm definitely not complaining. I think it helps that I'm selective about what I read, and that I don't do reviews for authors/publishers. I'm trying to keep my reading fun and not a chore.

I'm going to Colorado on Thursday for a girls' trip, so I don't think I'll get much reading done, except for maybe US, People and In Touch magazines :)

What about you? What are you reading this week?

Finding Your Voice sounds like an interesting one. I'm a sucker for writing books. I've also got a weakness for animal books and Making the Rounds with Oscar sounds like a good one.

You had a good week. I am going to look at your review for A Reliable Wife (cant recall if I read the review yet or not).

Have another good one! :)

I think it's great that you've had so many highly rated books recently. I do think it makes a big difference when you can choose books just based on what you like! You're more apt to end up with books you enjoy.

Mostly fours and fives lately? Color me jealous! That's a great run on reading. :-)

Emma is too cute.

I like your take on The Happiness Project. It is true, it won't fix you, but it might make the trip a lot more enjoyable. I found much of it empowering, like giving yourself permission to do what you love and skip what you don't.

I get a kick out of what publishers and authors send me. Usually I get the choice of turning them down before I find them in my mailbox, so it isn't too bad. Although even I have read a few blurbs and thought, "I really want to read that," and been very sorry that I said I would;)

I've seen some other things about Making Rounds With Oscar, and it looks good, but sad.

Love the blog theme image you've got going. I've seen the book and it's funny. Glad to see your dog agrees. :)

I'm also enjoying almost everything I read at the moment and for much the same reasons as you. Plus all the wonderful recommendations and reviews from fellow bloggers.

Enjoy your time away - I'm on the road for a few days too.
